Creating a new issue in fixx could not be simpler, providing you already have a project set up (if not then learn how to) and just follow these steps to guide you:
- Click the 'New Issue' tab situated along the top of the screen.
- A form will appear. Type in the subject title as well as a description for the issue.
- Now define where this new issue should go by selecting the desired project and what area within the project it belongs in.
- Now provide key information regarding the issue by selecting its priority and issue type as well as who the issue should be assigned to.
- It is now optional to notify the assigned user, by email, of this issue as well as selecting to watch the issue yourself.
- You may also add more detail regarding the issue by clicking on the 'add more detail' text.
- An extension to the existing form will apear enabling you to specify estimations regarding the due dates of the issue, as well as the length of time which should be spent on the issue and also specifying the versions of the project which the issue will effect.
- You can also add attachment(s) to the issue if you wish to do so.
- Tagging the issue with friendly keywords will also help searching for the issue in the future.
- Click the 'Submit' button to add the issue to the project.
If you want to edit the details of a project then we have made it easy for you to do that, just follow these steps:
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to edit. Click here to find out how to do this.
- A new view will appear with the issue and all of its attributes.
- In the right panel of the screen, there are a list of actions for the issue. Click on the 'Edit' text.
- A form will appear which will consist of pre-filled fields containing the stored data. Edit the required fields.
- Click the 'Update' button. The issue will be saved with this new data.
In fixx there are filters already set up for you to get started with and one of these is to view all issues assigned to you, just to make it more convenient for you.
- Click the 'Issues' tab or the 'Dashboard' tab situated along the top of the screen.
- A new view will appear. In the right panel of the screen there are pre-set filters.
- Click on the 'Assigned to me' filter. A new view will appear with all of the issues assigned to you.
Watching issues in fixx is really beneficial if you want to monitor the progress of an issue so for you to do this fixx has a very simple way of doing this, just follow these steps:
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to watch. Click here to find out how to do this
- A new view will appear with the issue and all of its attributes.

- In the right panel of the screen there are a list of actions for the issue. Click on the 'Watch' text.
- This issue will now be saved to your watching list. See How do I view all issues which I am watching?
In fixx there are a set filters already set up for you to get started with and one of these is to view all issues which you are currently watching, just to make it more convenient for you.
- Click the 'Issues' tab or the 'Dashboard' tab situated along the top of the screen.
- A new view will appear. In the right panel of the screen there are pre-set filters.
- Click on the 'Watching' filter. A new view will appear with all of the issues which you are following.
Adding a comment or attaching a file to an issue is really simple and it is entirely upto you whether you do this or not. You can comment without attaching files or attach files without leaving a comment if you really want too! You can even attach multiple files if the mood takes you, its your choice.
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to add a comment and / or attachment to and view its details. Click here to find out how to do this.
- In the right panel of the screen, there are a list of actions for the issue. Click on the 'Comment or attach file' link.
- A new form will appear. Enter your comment regarding the issue.
- It is optional to attach a file to this comment.
Note: You can remove attachments or add multiple attachments by selecting 'add another' at anytime before posting your comment.
- Click the 'Post comment' button and the comment as well as any attachments will be saved to the issue.
This section describes how you can re-assign an issue from one user to another.
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to re-assign. Click here to find out how to do this.
- A new view will appear with the issue and all of its attributes.
- In the right panel of the screen, there are a list of actions for the issue. Click on the 'Move' text.
- A form will appear. Firstly you must select the project which you would like to move it to and then select the area within the project which it should belong to.
- Click the 'Move issue' button.
- The issue will now be moved to this project.
In fixx you can move an issue from one project to another, a very useful feature.
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to re-assign. Click here to find out how to do this.
- A new view will appear with the issue and all of its attributes.
- In the right panel of the screen, there are a list of actions for the issue. Click on the 'Re-assign' text.
- A form will appear. Firstly you must select who you would like to re-assign the issue too. To select the Project Lead click the first radio button, if you want to select someone else then click the second radio button and choose the user from the list provided.
- It is now optional to notify the newly assigned user, by email.
- Now provide a comment about this change.
- Click the 'Re-assign' button.
- The issue will now be re-assigned to the new user.
Managing the time estimates for an issue means you can amend the date when the issue is due.
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to manage the time estimates for. Click here to find out how to do this
- A new view will appear with the issue and all of its attributes.
Resolving an issue means that the issue has been worked on and no further work can be made to the issue.
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to resolve. Click here to find out how to do this.
- A new view will appear displaying the issue and all of its attributes.
- In the right panel of the screen, there are a list of actions for the issue. Click on the 'Resolve' text.
- A form will appear. Firstly select the reason for resolving the issue, for example 'fixed'.
- Now enter how many hours was spent on the issue and provide a brief description.
Note: The hours must be numerical, for example '1' not 'one'.
- Enter a comment about this change.
- Click the checkbox to close the issue.
- Click the 'Resolve' button to resolve the issue.
Deleting an issue in fixx is really simple and to be sure that you don't delete any issues which you're not sure about we ask for confirmation before it is completely removed from fixx.
- Navigate to the issue which you would like to delete and view its details. Click here to find out how to do this
- A new view will appear with the issue and all of its attributes.
- In the right panel of the screen, there are a list of actions for the issue. Click the 'Delete' text.
- A notice will now appear requesting you to confirm your decision to delete this issue. Click the 'Okay' button.
- The issue will now be removed from fixx.
This is a really useful feature in fixx, you can export a list of all the issues which are present in the system and export them in many different formats, such as CSV, Excel, XML and PDF. This is great if you need a need a list of issues to take to a meeting or need a record of current issues, etc. The other good thing about this is you can filter the issues before you export so you have a list tailored to suit your needs.
- Click the 'Issues' tab situated along the top of the screen.
- A new view will appear listing all of the issues in fixx.
- Select your desired export option by clicking on it.
- A box will appear on your screen asking you if you would like to save or open the exported issues.
- Once you have made your decision you can now view the exported issues in the format of your choice.
There are a few ways which you can find issue in fixx. The most obvious is to use the search facility, filtering or navigating to it. To navigate to an issue follow these instructions.
- Click on the 'Issue' tab.
- A table will be displayed showing all issues.
- Browse through these issues or perform a search or filter.
